Alabama Golf

With warm weather and sunshine statewide for the greater part of the year, Alabama provides excellent conditions for golfing throughout its territory. Alabama boasts three distinct climates, the lower coastal plain, the upper coastal plain, and the northern plateau, which lend towards varied and exciting golfing from border to border!

Alabama is also home to the largest golf course construction project ever attempted, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail! This trail features 468 holes of championship golf located on eleven different courses across Alabama! From the northern areas of Muscle Shoals and Huntsville, to Birmingham and Montgomery, to the Gulf Coast’s Dothan, Mobile, and Point Clear, visitors can golf their way through all regions of the state. Each site is within a two-hour drive from at least one other site, meaning adventurous golfers can play many locations during a stay—or even more than one location per day! With landscapes including creeks, marshlands, pine forests, massive oaks, the rolling Shannon Valley, the Talladega National Forest, and more, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is not to be missed!

As if that isn’t enough, Alabama has 300 other public and private courses to choose from! Guntersville features the 18-hole Lake Guntersville State Park Golf Course, a par 72 course designed by Earl Stone, with 6,785 as its yardage. Birmingham is home to the Inverness Country Club, a par 71 course designed by George W. Cobb. Visitors to Montgomery will enjoy the Wynlakes Golf and Country Club, designed by renowned architect Joe Lee, with 18 championship holes over 6,761 yards. Or, for a golfing adventure on the Gulf Shores, visit Craft Farms to play the Cypress Bend and Cotton Creek, two distinct championship courses designed by legend architect Arnold Palmer.

No matter where you choose to golf, you’ll want a comfortable place to rest when you finish a successful day on the course! And what better way to relax between games than at your very own timeshare resale or rental? Alabama is host to several timeshare resorts including Shoreline Towers, Village by the Gulf, and Paradise Isle Resort on the Gulf Shores, Alpine Bay Resorts outside of Birmingham, and Sunset Point at StillWaters Resort in Dadeville, featuring its own 27 hole championship golf course overlooking Lake Martin. These roomy and luxurious timeshare units provide ample space for your family or friends, and with all the conveniences of home, including a washer and dryer and a fully equipped kitchen, you can save time and money! By searching the Internet for an affordable vacation, you can save thousands by buying a timeshare resale, or if you aren’t looking for an annual commitment, shave hundreds off your vacation budget by using a timeshare rental.
